From this textbook project, I felt so sorry to my two partners: Takako and Qiao because I have emergency and could not come to class. But I still tried to catch up somethings which I missed,I read Takako's and Qiao'summary. Even though I knew that was not enough information for helping me, and I still needed to write my reflection in this unit. First, I might read my part of reading which was hard to me, and it has a lot of information was about article. My reading was Globalization vs. Americanization from Andrew Lam. He was born in South Vietmanese. He had to move to the United States of America because of the war, and It caused her families and couples of other Vietmanes moved to other countries. From my part of reading, Andrew was using her own story to explain what he thought about Globalization and Americanization. Some people would think Globalization was eating Mc.Donald's, listening Madonna' song, and shopping at the mega's mall but Andrew used his opinion to prove his points. I am agress a sentence of Andrew's point from Globalization vs. Americanization: people 's psychological transformation will affect them , and that will be a line for making distinction between Globalization and Americanization. Because people will have different opinions from a topic, such as a moive, music, and food. Maybe some people would think about Mc. Donald's is globalization for popular food in the world. But some people will have a different opinion, and they thought Mc.Donald is Americanization that reason is Mc.donald was discoving from American. Also, I had learn something from Takako'summary which was the "Croc" shoes, that kinds of shoes sell to nurse or some people need to stand for long time but some businese used its benefit to creat a new opptunity of this shoes and sells a lot. Qiao'summary was about mega mall, and I am agree a point from Qiao' summary. American love to shooping; whatever, how wrost economy is. I am the one of those American love to shopping. this " Grand Mall Seizure" is a good reading to prove my reading part because Qiao thought Biggest Mall is American love to shopping, some American will have oppsite opinion which they thought about mall.. which is good to us ; it might deponds on people's psychological transformation.

rap'song

Rap is one kind of music, which we called rapper in their kinds of music.Rap music is ralated with song kind of Hip Hop music. The popular singer which we know about them : such as Jay-Z, Emeriem, and Akon etc.Hip hop has a molded to severl generation for college, such as our this generation. I think a lot of people like to listen hip hop's music which we called rap'song. Rap'song is orgin from Africa American, and this song also has progress by time. This kinds of song were not only for Africa American, or a lot of people love this kinds of music. Rap'song is more easy to explain something which singer wants to let us know or giving somg kinds of things that show to us. From this video, it was showing some event to us . This is aout 1973NYC,and some rappers were destroying somg public building or transoportation for painting in. Some rappers will use words to explain which part they don't though so or angry.Even though few people didn't like this kinds of music, rap'song still pop in whole world.70s which is beginning of the hip hop's music .Jamaican dj ,who bring this kind of music, called "Kool Herc" which discover rap'song from kingstom to NY.

From this presention, I have learned a lot of thing about how to understand what kinds of music have.Music is not only for listening about , and we have to realize about what lyric or singers want to give us some messages about. I think I have a hard work on my presentation is about realize what singer want to talk about in the song that was so hard to me sometime.Because I have spent too mushc time to unsderstand and prepare what meaning is in the song. From choose song to prepare how to present my song, I had face some problem which I don't know what some lyric or song want to say. Finally, I chose Pink'song named "Dear.Mr President" this is Pink wants to write to President Bush, and her message was about please stop the war to others' countries or stopping spent too much money in the war. I learned about the most imporatant thing is understand what singer or song 's meaning in the lyric.If I have one more chance to present my song, I will add more information about what others think about this song. because I added too much my opinions in my presentation. I learned by listening to my classmate's presention is many classmate love to listen rapper's music, even though I like somg kinds of rap's music, some which I don't real understand the meaning . I think I had learn many different kinds of music in our class. This song presentation is changing my mind because it helps me to how to choose some kinds of song.

My third self reflection

This is my third unit in pop culture class, and I had learn many different knowledge about music ,that I haven't have before. For example, from the reading part of " Same Old Song" is the most hard part to me. because too much vocabularies that I had never use before, I could read the whole paragrph to realize what is the one or two sentences which I don't understant.This is my way to slove some problem which I don't know.Also, I have a part is about the trip goes to House of Blues because I was late to the class that's why I missed the class to this trip. Even though I can't know some information after classmate are coming back to class and discuss, I still felt something was missing. Because I can not been the one of my classmate whom can go there for more realizing about music.I also have a deep memories is about prsentation of song. I was choosing Pink' song: Dear. Mr. President, this song is so touching my heart during I was listening this song.From this presetation, I understand a lot such as song is not only music or no any meaning in the music.Song is more like a poem or letter for givng to people understand about it. I think a lot of people will love some kinds of song because of song'rhytm, it could catch their attention. But much people don't understand lyircs' meaning in the song. From this presentation, I had learn a lot news information, and I will realize the lyrics'meaning first , then I can choose which is mind.Maybe, If we have chance or more time could discus about reading part" Same Old Song" that will be perfect because I think someone will likes me ,who still has a part did not real understand meaning about this reading. Music is not only support some kinds of entertainment to us; music is more kinds of power for support our soul to continus what we want.

He is a super star, and his fan think he is the king of the Rock n Roll. He was born on the January 8th,1935 , and he was death on August 16th 1977.

I like a song name is Firework from the singer Katy Perry.Firework is the name of this song, and the lyric has a good meaning to send to everyone. The song is about everybody has to look like a firework because many people will lose their dream by faced some hard event.Also, some people has a sickness , then they began to give up their life. This song is helping people to think about something isn't negative.I felt so disappointment of my education, and I wanted to tried my best to doing something ,then I will have to face a lot of problem that i have never had before.My cousin just sent this song to my Face book and listened this song. Even this song is normal ,or nothing is special to them. I think it helps me a lot because I try my best in this semester. however, how the problem will be that much difference, i will not easy to give up my dream. Also, my heart and my dream will be like a firework that much wonderful. I f people would want to give up something , then this song maybe help you to find out what goal you want.

The Reflection of HOB

We have a field trip to the House of Blues, unfortunately, I was late to the lobby, and all of my classmate were going to the House of Blues.Even though I knew I lost this chance to realize more about the blues, I think the good news about my friends help me to take a video that I cloud easy to understand about the things of blues. The country music,Rock music,R&B, and Rap, all kinds of song were organize from blues. From the classmate gives me some information of the House of Blues, which I began to know about it is about.Music is relate with the popular culture. People who come from the Africa that they created the Blues. Because of the blues, people began to create some songs are about the race, culture, and gender that all of they think about in their mind. They also want to share or used the word for let people to understand them.Maybe I could not have more cool experience in this field trip but I still learn something from the class of classmate share their experiences for help me to write this reflection.

my second reflection

this is my second reflection to think about what I learned in this unit. This unit is explaining and showing to us, what popular culture is about the common and population at large not elite or chosen few. The popular culture has four elements include objects, people, event, and places. I think we have to understand what popular culture is we have to understand culture, influence, and impact on individuals. The important part also is we have to realize what America goes on. I learn a lot whatever personal presentation or group presentation and realize some reasons why some normal people could be a successful pop star. Beginning of this unit, I have remembered a question is asking me, how much percentage for American or my identity. During the times, I chose 30% to be American, and I think I still keeping my own identity. I remembered we have an assignment was about the Fads from 1950s to 2000s, before this Fad presentation, I have no idea what about Fad is. After I heard my classmates’ presentation, I have an AHA moment. I think I have a hard time or need Ms Gitte could explain more things were how to study pop culture, or it makes me can be more scene.

The function of I pod classic has 5 GB to 160 GB storage, and Ipod classic would be hard drive.

It could save more 200thousand song in the Ipod and save a lot of picture. People could use the Ipod to watch some video, movies, and some book. The Ipod classic only has 18 inch but it could be a storage for some data or information which is the most important thing. 120GB of storage, iPod classic is the take-everything-everywhere iPod, with space for up to 30000 songs, 150 hours of video, or 25000 photos.

My Reflection and cultural identity

From the began of this semster to now, and we studied about culture and cultural identities. i lean alot new knowledge in this short five weeks. Before I took this class, I had not understand somthing about what culture was. I learn about culture depends on four elements such as the inculturation that meaning is people would pass their own things to next gernation.likey, my fahter will give his own culture pass to me, and i will pass it to my children or more. the second elements is shared , and it depends on the basic, beliefs , and attitudues in our life time. the third elements is symbolically expressed and transimitted inculde language, values,a nd the experience. We need the symolically expressed and transmitted to continues out life and pass to next gernation. The final element is adaptive. When i have to do the iceburg model of culture, and i got so confuse about what formal, technical, and deep or informal is . after Ms Gitte taught us and showed some example, I have an "A Ha" moment afteri realize them. at the same time , we spent many time to discuss about culture and made cultural identity in the Gloger. I think I learn about more than before. Also, the culture and cultutal identities that i ahve a deep memories about them becuase we have discuss on the blackboard to reminder somthing about culture. In additon, we have to do a project about culture that is why i have very deep memories about this chapter. The worksheets were a good thing to help me to remember and made the notice in my brain. Like about something about race, we had to read the article in website and showed a lot example to us when we read the aeticle. In this chapter, we had to read, think, seek, and do in the culture and race, and i think it is very helpful t o me . after i did for reading, thinking, seeking , and doing somthing, I could easy to remember and understand about culture and race in text book. Race and cultue are happening in anywhere, anytime in life. I think a good bumper sticker in this unit. culture is one of this unit that i learned and i will use this new information to my life because i realize and understand others culture and their lifestyle in normal.
